Regenerative Glossary – Terms Worth Knowing

Discover the definitions of the practices we undertake. Key terms to understand in order to better grasp our mission.

Regenerative agriculture is a practice that is gaining increasing popularity among farmers and agricultural enterprises. It focuses on restoring soil health through methods such as no-till farming and the use of natural fertilizers. As a result, the soil becomes more fertile and resistant to erosion, which in turn supports better crop yields and healthy ecosystems. The goal of regenerative agriculture is to create more sustainable and resilient farming systems.

A similar approach is carbon farming, which centers on sequestering carbon in the soil. Through proper soil and vegetation management, farmers can help reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. In practice, this means the soil acts as a “carbon sink,” aiding in the fight against climate change.

RegenAG, short for “Regenerative Agriculture,” is a term that encompasses a broad range of practices related to regenerative farming. The aim of RegenAG is to develop sustainable agricultural systems that are not only more productive but also environmentally beneficial.

All these approaches contribute to broadly understood regenerative agriculture, which renews and strengthens ecosystems through sustainable management of natural resources. Regenerative agriculture is a response to the needs of the modern world, which requires innovative solutions in the face of climate change and environmental degradation.

Why are these terms important? For farmers, they mean not only better yields and healthier soil but also the opportunity to participate in ESG projects in agriculture. Such projects can bring additional benefits in the form of carbon credits, providing extra financial incentives for activities that promote carbon sequestration.
