A unique project combining regenerative and financial advisory
We know that a lasting farm transformation must make economic sense. That is why in the “Przewaga z natury” (Nature’s Advantage) project, which we run together with Agraves, we combine regenerative advisory with financial analysis. Farm profitability is key for us, and we assess every recommendation in terms of costs, potential savings, impact on yields and production security.
Following the audits, each farmer received two individual reports. The diagnostic report covers the farm and its production system, an assessment of current practices, changes made so far and their effects, the main barriers, how decisions are made, and the potential for further transformation. It also includes the advisor’s diagnosis, priorities and recommended next steps.
It is complemented by an economic report that translates agronomic recommendations into the language of finance. It compares the situation before and after the advisory, and identifies potential savings, justified investments and possible additional revenue. The analysis covers, among other things, fertilisation, liming, the use of organic fertilisers, the number and depth of tillage passes, fuel consumption, labour, depreciation, cover crops and available support schemes. It shows the effect per hectare and for the whole farm, and sets out the order in which changes should be implemented and how their profitability will be monitored.
It is not about cutting costs at all costs. It is about dropping expenses that bring no results and directing funds where they can improve soil health, production efficiency and the farm’s long-term profitability.
How can we make agriculture more resilient to climate change and economic challenges? And how can we turn ambitious strategies into real changes on farms?
We are proud to announce that the Ground Up Foundation has become an affiliate member of SAI Platform (Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform).
